AR/VR READY!?!?!

Hello explorers! I hope you are doing well. I have been busy creating a lesson material including AR/VR technology. And to be honest, it is an amazing tool which can enable students to explore a completely different city even without moving a step.

This task required us to prepare a lesson plan and a material that could provide AR/VR experience in a city. I worked with Yunus Emre KOÇAK, Baran DOĞU, Serra Mirac DEMİRKOL and Gülşen DEMİR. We agreed on to prepare our material about Madrid, Spain. Almudena Cathedral and Royal Palace of Madrid were chosen as the landmarks of the city. Moreover, Prado Museum was selected to be in the material. Finally, it would be a shame to not include Spanish cuisine into our assignment. We utilized from Canva to create our material. In each part, there is a link to scan that leads you to the websites for 360 visual tours and the visually supported video.

At the end of the class, there are some tasks waiting for the students as well. First they plan their ideas in written form, then they use these ideas to write an email to their peers. Finally they switch the papers and evaluate these emails based on 3 criteria given in the paper. This way not only their writing but also their speaking skills improve along with their communicative competences.

As a consequence, I throughoutly enjoyed preparing this material with my friends and as a future teacher, I would definitely use this material in one of my lessons. That is it for today. Please let me know what you think about this post and materials. CLICK HERE for ASSURE our lesson plan. Take care!
